I cannot say enough about fall. Autumn is absolutely my favorite season. The mountains always look like they're on fire. Everything smells like cinnamon and ginger. Apples taste extra juicy. The weather is crisp and perfect for scarves and jackets. Can't get enough.
Phil and I had the perfect date planned for today. P5, we called it. Picturesque pedaling, picnics, and pumpkin pie. Unfortunately, Phil had a midterm today so we didn't get started until around two. That being said, Provo Canyon did not disappoint.

We biked up the canyon about 3.5 miles and then paused to have a snack, i.e. the picnic portion of our date.

We found the perfect rock so we sat for a few minutes and enjoyed the passersby. I loved the ride back down the mountain. I hardly had to pedal and we saw some rather picturesque scenery.

Biking in the canyon is such a relaxing way to spend the afternoon. I never thought that I would be one to appreciate nature, but Phil has helped me enjoy it so much more.
After our bike ride, we stopped at an apple stand on the way back to our apartment. More honey crisps? Yes please!

We spent time getting cleaned up and I worked on my lesson for YW. Then, it was off to try a new restaurant for dinner. Philly and I love trying new food together. We decided to go to a Sri Lankan restaurant down the street called Banana Leaf. Total win.

| We Loved the Decor |
We loved all the velvet tapestries and the fact that it was a family-owned business. Phil ordered curry and I ordered a lamprice. It's rice, chicken, chutney and eggs steamed in a banana leaf.

I'm so happy we went. I'm obsessed with this place now. Plus, they have the most adorable receipts.

We couldn't end the night without pumpkin pie, but we didn't have the energy or time to make a full pie. We made pumpkin-almond butter blondies. We made it in a pie pan though, so it kinda counts. Phil's half has chocolate chips and sweetened coconut. Mine is the lovely natural shaved coconut. It turned out extra gooey, but the flavor was so good. Great way to end our day.

Dear autumn, we really hope you stay for a long, long time.
