Welcome to Moscow and Med School

Moscow is a quirky place, and med school certainly is unique as well. But we've had a blast in our first few months. Moscow is a pretty small town, but it has its own beauty. Like this:

And this:

And Phil's been so happy to be around his family, especially for special moments like his white coat ceremony.

He's a Big Deal!
Luckily life isn't only about school. Before school started, Phil's family made sure to take us to see the many tourist attractions in Moscow. Can you say Lentil Fest? This may also be known as giant vat of lentil chili.

Gross or Efficient?
And one of the top 50 farmer's markets in the US!

Overall, our first semester of medical school was rocky for sure. But we're certainly getting into a groove. I'm so proud of my amazing husband and his dedication to learning and studying. It's great for me to see him talk about his passion for medicine and the human body. That being said, we've had our interesting moments as well.

1. Hearing your husband listen to lectures on skin diseases and pus
2. Having your husband come home and smell like the inside of those frogs from biology class in ninth grade
3. Having your husband look at examples of STDs while you're lying in bed
4. Learning how to pronounce all that weird Latin (still working on this one)
5. Getting physicals about 5 times a week
6. Having your husband practice sutures on a rip in his shoe

Oh well, I guess it's just another day in the life.
